Lord,
was blessed to be able to enjoy some free music last night, good food, and nice company. I, of course, couldn't help but notice the placement of the lady right in front of us with a bible verse tattooed near the back of her neck.

Ephesians 2:13-16

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.

There by the Grace

Thank you Lord for your Grace, Love and Mercy, they are what have brought me to where I am today.
Where Am I?
I am learning slowly but surely what it means to be committed to you. To Trust in You for guidance. To Trust in you for protection. To Trust in you for Strength and Knowledge. To Trust in You for Unending Love. 
God, you Are My God, and I will ever Praise you. Step by Step you do lead me.

Your Love and Mercy, Oh Lord ARE ceaseless

"Everlasting love, pure flame, burn in my heart ceaselessly and deify my whole being, according to Your infinite pleasure by which You summoned me into existence and called me to take part in Your everlasting happiness" (Diary 1523).

"O merciful God, You do not despise us, but lavish Your graces on us continuously. You make us fit to enter Your kingdom, and in Your goodness You grant that human beings may fill the places vacated by the ungrateful angels. O God of great mercy, who turned Your sacred gaze away from the rebellious angels and turned it upon contrite man, praise and glory be to Your unfathomable mercy" (Diary 1339).

"By prayer a soul arms itself for all kinds of combat. In whatever state the soul may be, it ought to pray. A soul which is pure and beautiful must pray, or else it will lose its beauty; a soul which is striving after this purity must pray, or else it will never attain it; a soul which is newly converted must pray, or else it will fall again; a sinful soul, plunged in sins, must pray so that it might rise again. There is no soul which is not bound to pray, for every single grace comes to the soul through prayer" (Diary 146).

"...a soul should be faithful to prayer despite torments, dryness and temptations; because oftentimes the realization of God’s great plans depends mainly on such prayer. If we do not persevere in such prayer, we frustrate what the Lord wanted to do through us or within us. Let every soul remember these words: And being in anguish, He prayed longer" (Diary 872).

"Patience, prayer and silence - these are what give strength to the soul. There are moments when one should be silent, and when it would be inappropriate to talk with creatures; these are the moments when one is dissatisfied with oneself (...). At such times, I live solely by faith..." (Diary 944).

"Silence is a sword in the spiritual struggle (...). A silent soul is capable of attaining the closest union with God. It lives almost always under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. God works in a silent soul without hindrance" (Diary 477).

"We should often pray to the Holy Spirit for this grace of prudence. Prudence consists in discretion, rational reflection and courageous resolution. The final decision is always up to us" (Diary 1106).

On Earth as it Is In Heaven

Lord,
I want to love like you first loved us.

The God of The Universe, Loves Me.  Yes, I can see now why that is hard for us to wrap are brain around. Whatever problem I feel I am Facing, I must know that GOD IS BIGGER.  The Earth is but a speck on the map of the Universe. Yet, I am Important to the Creator, I am Loved by Him. Nothing to Fear but Him, for He IS the All-Powerful and Everlasting, Almighty One.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

In the middle of our storms and terror, Jesus passes close by, just waiting for us to acknowledge our fear and need, so that he can join us in our worst nightmares and help us through. Incredibly, Jesus' words here are literally, "Take courage! I Am." God revealed himself to Moses in Exodus 3 as I Am, reminding Moses that he heard the cry of the Israelites and had seen their hardship and was now coming down to help them. Jesus does the same for us!

My Prayer...

Thank you, O God, for not only being there, but being close by -- always waiting to respond to my cry of distress and fear. Forgive me for not inviting you and the Lord Jesus daily into a more active role in my life. I know you are near, so I ask that you not only make your presence known, but that you will gently confront me when I push you to the periphery of my daily life. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

The Joy Of Jesus

Thank you Lord for the Ugandan Orphan Children's Choir. They have beautiful voices and dance and their spirits were lifted high to Praise Your Name! Their Spirits lifted My Soul. Thank You Lord for Renewing My Soul.

I Heart H20

Grace picked out 2 books last night, one is this Toddler stories book and appears to be stories from the 60's or maybe earlier.  Usually I find the stories a little strange, but I really liked last nights. On each page (about 10 pages long) was a reason to be thankful for water. I have always loved drinking ice cold water, they Thanked God for ice cold water and for ice cubes too!  For being able to clean ourselves with water, to play in water when it's hot outside, do the dishes, wash our clothes... You can't help but realize that something so common (to us) as water does SO much cleansing.
Who can wash away my sins, nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Lord, Wash me of my enequities and cleanse me of my sins.

Daily and whole-heartedly lost in You!

Lord Thank you for Pastor Pauls sermon yesterday explaining the conscience and how with conscience alone we will not do what is right. How it can be weak, wounded, deadened or seared. Lord help me to continue to grow strong in your word that I may steer clear of all infections of the soul.
